Pho and Beyond - 47 Easton Rd. Willow Grove, PA 19090

(In case you are wondering, this is not the same Kid Friendly Restaurant  I went to before.) Ah, what a divine visit I had to Pho and Beyond! My parents and I love the Vietnamese food from Pho and More, so we were elated to come here. As usual, I found a crazy- awesome dish on the menu. If you are adventurous, this is the kid-friendly dish for you. I had number 38, Bun Dac Biet, pho and beyondwhich had succulent pork and chicken. But that’s not all! My perfect meal also had grilled shrimp, eggrolls, rice vermicelli, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, pickled carrot/radish, crushed roasted peanuts, and mint to top it off. It was like music to my mouth! They came along with homemade fish sauce too, but personally, I prefer the dark brown hoisin sauce on the table. For a drink, I had the complimentary water that came with it. This place is kid-friendly because the people are kind, and with all of the condiments, you can make your order, well… yours! There are a lot of beautiful plants at the tables, and when you walk in, you take in a nice flowery scent, to make the restaurant relaxing, and a stress relieving place. There is also a neat fountain that can be seen through the window that is sure to please!

My overall score is two thumbs up out of two.

Kid Friendly Service – CHECK!

Kid Friendly Appearance – CHECK!

Kid Friendly Food – CHECK!

The waiters were energetic and nice, the restaurant was elegant, and the food was out of this world.

I hope you guys will try this place out!

Back to the 50's Diner - 800 Edison Furlong Rd Furlong, Pennsylvania 18925

For this week’s Kid Friendly Restaurant, I went to the Back to the 50′s Diner in Furlong, PA. There I had the Southwestern Wrap! back to 50 picIt had sour cream, chicken, salsa, guacamole, peppers, and much more! It was really messy, and tasty! So definitely a kid friendly dish. And for a drink,  I had my usual, lemonade! My favorite.

All I can say is… WOW. I felt like I was in a time machine that went back to the 50s! They’ve got 50s toys, posters, pictures, and menu items EVERYWHERE! If you were born in the 50s you will remember your childhood here. Also, the waitresses are kind, and welcoming. What kid friendly service!

Open from 6:30-2:30. Sorry no Dinner served here.

Hey Parents!

A great place to come for food. You and your kid(s) will love it here…guaranteed!

Hey Kids!

A kid friendly environment, (quarter machines) and a kids menu! I didn’t order off of it, so try new things!

M.O.M.'s Maxwell's on Main - 37 N. Main St. Doylestown, PA 18901

Last weekend, my parents and I were heading to Peddler’s Village to see my Pop-Pop’s work at an art show, so we stopped for a bite to eat on the way, and we went to M.O.M’s  Maxwell’s on Main!

I had a burger with, a fried egg and bacon on it! Y-U-M. So tasty! I like to call it the wake up burger, because it pretty much is breakfast on a burger! I also had a salad, it had raspberry vinaigrette on it, my favorite! I only had water for a drink.
Moms on Main

As far as kid friendly appearance, it’s a bit dark. I didn’t like how they kept a huge window open. While it may provide fresh air, it also lets bugs and noise in. Either way, it added a nice personal touch.

Also, The waitresses are kid friendly and friendly to your whole family!

Hey kids! There is a kid’s menu-for lunch or brunch! I didn’t order from it though.

Hey parents! If you come for dinner, make sure your kid can find something to eat, and encourage them to try new things.

2 thumbs up out of 2! For the kid friendly service, awesome food, and kid friendly atmosphere. This place is one of my new favorite kid friendly restaurants in Doylestown PA.

Fireside Bar & Grille - 1211 S. Bethlehem Pike Ambler, PA 19002

I just went to Fireside Bar and Grille in Ambler, Pa. They have soooo many different kinds of food here to try! Now that’s kid-friendly restaurant, if you have an open mind.

To start off, I had a lemonade! Mmm! A good lemonade it was! Then for a side, I had a caesar salad. mm-mm-mm! Soo good! With grated Parmesaen cheese, caesar dressing, and croutons, this is my favorite kind of salad!

For my main course, I had chicken parmesan! firesideMy favorite food! It was really savory.

For dessert, I had chocolate ice cream! Yum! Perfect for the summer.

Unfortunately, my parents and I were seated near the bar… not exactly kid friendly as far as atmosphere. The hostess should have known better, and seated us in the dining room. It was very loud, and we could barely hear each other talk!

Hey Parents!

Enjoy the wide selection of drinks, and enjoy! My parents said that their meals were good.

Hey Kids!

There is a kids menu, that I didn’t look at. Try something new!

The waitress was kid-friendly, but service is a bit slow–so bring your kid with something to do.

1 thumb up out of 2 - great food and service! But maybe a better place for grown-ups.

Giuseppe's Pizza - 101 Cowpath Road Lansdale, PA 19446

Ahhh… at this Italian restaurant in Lansdale, PA I got stuffed shells! Mmmmm. Perfection! I loved the creamy fresh ricotta that it was filled with! Makes my mouth water  just thinking about it! For a drink , I had lemonade. (My usual!) I liked how it wasn’t too sweet or too sour. That’s what I look for in a lemonade! Also, my parents and I had Caesar salads! Yum, my most favorite kind of salad. With the Cesar dressing, yummy croutons, and grated parmesan cheese, you can’t go wrong! This place has lots of neat pizzeria or Italian themed decorations. It’s very welcoming and kid friendly!

Hey parents!

What great food! But, let me just tell you, come here when you’re really hungry! There is tons of garlic bread!

Hey kids!

I’m not sure if there’s a kid’s menu or not, but try new things!

What a kid friendly place. I love the enthusiastic staff, and delectable food. I’d definitely come here again.

Two thumbs up!  For the reasons above!

Grove Land Grill Pipersville PA

I just went to the grove land grill, and what a brunch I had! (nom nom nom) I had the Plumstead Omelet! Oh yum. It had Ham and tomato with hash browns and cheddar cheese. Oh My Gosh. This was the best omelet that I’ve ever had. then, It came with toast. A nice way to end my meal. Then, for my drink, I had some refreshing water. Ahh. What a brunch, what a brunch. They even sell a few accessories at this place! I really like the paintings on the walls, and it’s a kid friendly environment.

Pho & More - Montgomery Commons 1200 Welsh Road North Wales, PA 19454

This is a new kind of food to be trying… sometimes hard to pronounce, but definitely Kid Friendly! I had the Pho Rau & Tofu. Or P19 if you can’t say it. Yum! Famous rice noodle soup, mixed vegetables and tofu… pho and morewhat a healthy soup to encourage your kids to eat healthier! Did you know? If you eat Pho during your allergy season, this will make you feel better with the ginger added in. For an appetizer, I had some spring rolls (A-6) which have succulent pork, shredded lettuce, and more! Finally, for a drink, I had a pomegranate fruit smoothie. Sweet! But to be honest, it tasted like cotton candy. This place is well… really nice! There are beautiful pieces of artwork here, and the silverware is very decorative. Kid friendly! And the service is awesome! I forgot to mention the delicious peanut sauce that came with my food! Sweet.

Hey Kids! Please come here! There’s not a kid’s menu, but a kid’s version of Pho though to get you started! Talk about trying new things in a kid-friendly way!

Hey Parents! Awesome place, but it’s best to come in the winter (hot soup), or when you don’t feel well, or just for fun! Hope you have a great experience to!

Cantina Feliz - 424 South Bethlehem Pike Fort Washington, PA 19034

Cantina Feliz is like-Brooke central! I love Mexican food, and there are sugar skulls and skeletons everywhere! (well, almost) The food is awesome! Well, lets start with my drink, which will surprise you-a non-alcoholic margarita! Cool right? I liked it. Probably NOT a kid friendly drink, but there are way more options provided. To eat, I had an Al Carbon Taco. cantina felizIt comes with cilantro, onions, (I asked for no onions) salsa, refried beans, and tortillas. Finally, your choice of chicken, steak, or grilled fish (I had chicken). It is soooo good! You even get to build your own tacos! That is kid friendly! Oops! I almost forgot my side. My parents and I all shared salsa and chips with guacamole! One of my favorites. And for desert, my family shared the “Domingo” sundae a brownie sundae with peanut-caramel-popcorn and churros ice cream. Sadly, they were out of churros ice cream, so we settled for roasted banana ice cream. This was the BEST sundae I’ve ever had. When it gets to you, it seems to say: “I am totally kid friendly! would you like to eat me???” And I bet everyone’s thinking “Popcorn on ice cream? I’m not sure…” But it is awesome! As I mentioned earlier, There’s lots of skeletons everywhere!

Hey Kids! There is a kid’s menu.(I didn’order from it) But try to be adventurous like me! Also the waitresses are kid-friendly to the children.

Hey Parents! There’s a whole page of margaritas, and they have a happy hour. But this place is for special occasions.

I like Cantina Feliz. It sure is a fantasia* (*Spanish for fancy) restaurant. It is a great kid friendly restaurant, and the food rocks!

Melt Down Grilled Cheese - 111B Garden Golf Blvd, North Wales, PA 19454

This week’s Kid Friendly Restaurant review.

Hey! I just went to the Melt Down. And there’s a reason why they call it really, really, ridiculously good grilled cheese. I had the Maryland Crab. melt downA succulent sandwich that has Melted monteray jack cheese, crab meat, and Imperial sauce all on toasted Italian white bread. One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve ever had. I did not get a drink, because I was too busy eating my wonderful sandwich and side pickles! This place has super cool seats, a TV exampling all of their specials, and a new hope fountain soda stand. Not to mention the kid friendly environment!

Hey kids! There is a kid’s menu, but it’s only half a classic. Be adventurous and get one of their new sandwiches! You might like the grilled mac n’ cheese!

Hey parents! You will love their baja, turkey club, bct, and more!

What kid friendly service. Taking a kid friendly classic, and making a whole restaurant dedicated to it. 2 thumbs up for all my reasons above!

Iron Abbey Gastro Pub - 680 Easton Road Horsham, PA 19044

This week’s Kid Friendly Restaurant Review.

I just went to Iron Abbey. I had the BLTA with a side of potatoes! Which has bacon, lettuce, tomato, apples, and vinaigrette. iron abbeyAll together, it’s like a syphony of wonderful foods! Also, the split pea soup was delicious…mmm! For a drink, I had water. (They were out of tomato juice.) When I first came here, I thought it would be a bar with people smoking. But it’s not like that at all! It looks kind of like a medieval castle! But a lot smaller than one. It’s not 100% Kid Friendly because it is mainly a bar, but the service was kid friendly to make up for it.

Hey Parents! There is a wide selection of wine and beer. Enjoy yourselves!

Hey Kids! Sorry, no kid’s menu! Be adventurous on what you eat!

This place is nice. There is great food and people. I hope whoever else goes here has as nice as an experience that I had.

El Primo Taqueria - 1719 Markley Street Norristown, PA 19401

I just went to a very Kid Friendly authentic Mexican restaurant.

Before I start my post, I must say that if you speak Spanish, you will understand this place a lot better. On with my post! I had a shredded chicken tostada. So savory but it was very messy… like an open face taco!el primo resize They give you tortillas to make burritos with what you had left. I made a creamy avocado burrito with lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. It was delicious! For a drink, I had bottled water to wash my meal down. To get to the restaurant, you have to walk to the way back of the Mexican grocery store you come across. In the restaurant, there are lots of  beautiful paintings, and cool mini statues.

Hey Kids! There IS a kid’s menu, and a kid friendly environment. But remember, try something new! You will feel proud if you do.

Hey Parents! The food is fantastic if you like authentic Mexican food.

In search of the next Kid Friendly Restaurant.

I just  went to Ray’s Diner. I had a Cheese burger, not just ANY cheeseburger a deluxe cheeseburger with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mushrooms! Talk about a great burger with a side of fries, and onion rings,(which I did not eat)it completes this savory dish! For a drink, I had tomato juice! Yum! One of my favorites.Rays Diner This place looks old-fashioned and retro. They have jukeboxes on each table! It was also very busy.

Hey kids! I did NOT order from their kid’s menu. This place is not entirely kid friendly. But it’s o.k.

Hey parents! Well, it’s a nice place! HUGE menu; try to get the kids to try new things! :D

Sonic - 2405 Easton Road Willow Grove, PA 19090

This is kid friendly fast food! I don’t usually review places like this, but this place is an exception. It is like an old-fashioned drive in, and you get to eat in the car. It is a much more fun place to go instead of other fast food places, AND they have a better selection!

At Sonic, I had a corn dog. sonic corndogMmmm! That yummy breaded outside, covering the savory hot dog inside! I hand’nt had a good corndog in a while! For a side I had tater tots! sonic totsTater tots are like french fries, but shaped like cylinders, and are filled with small, sliced potatos. To sum it up, these are awesome! You should try them! For a drink, I had the classic kid-favorite that most kids love… chocolate milk! It was rich, and creamy. You can eat inside, and outside at Sonic. I usually eat outside. They take your order, and about 3 minutes later, they come out with your food! Then, they come out with a tray of things you might  need. This is a nice, clean restaurant!

Hey kids! I did order from the kids menu, and you get a toy with your meal! Definitely shows Kid Friendly Service!

Hey Parents! kid friendly place, and awesome food for you guys too!

Talk about a super kid friendly place! My Dad and I shared the Bar Burgers and Wings Platter. This is an appetizer with 4 delicious mini cheese burgers with a cherry tomato  and pickle slice skewered through each mini burger. Also, there where hot wings which were too spicy for me. Last, There were perfectly yummy seasoned french fries! For a drink, I had lemonade. With all those savory, salty, treats, I needed something sweet. (Lemonade).

daveand busters 1daveand busters 2Hey Kids! There is a kid’s menu, with the usual stuff. AND there is an awesome  arcade you will love! There is definitely Kid Friendly Service as well. Our waiter was very nice.

Hey Parents! There is a bar. So you and your friends will like this place too. There are also pool tables there.

This place is neat, There is a lot of carpet, and some super cool prizes at the winner’s circle. My dad and I certainly had a blast! This is a nice break from the usual restaurant with a bunch of fun added to it. You get game cards to swipe at each game, and it tells you the remaining total left on the card so you know when you will run out of game credits. I had a blast playing Fruit Ninja! : )

Bryn and Dane's Healthy Fast Food - 400 Privet Road Horsham, PA 19044

This is where kids SHOULD eat for fast food.
Usually, I don’t reveiw fast food places, but this one is healthier than Mc Donald’s and Burger King. This place has Kid Friendly AND Kid Healthy written all over it! This place is also Gluten Free! I had one of their delicious wraps, the Charleston Honey. This wrap has: fresh tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, fat-free mozzerella, and crisp romaine wrapped around grilled chicken breast with their homemade fat-free honey mustard sauce. Cal. 268 / Carb 22/ Fat 4/ Fib. 11 /Prot. 36. For a side, I had white chedder popcorn. There is a whole rack of savory and sweet popcorns to choose from! For a drink, I had healthy, tart, and sweet, Italian lemon soda! I usually don’t drink soda, but this soda looked good. My dad had the Tennesee Bleu Wrap, which had crispy golden chicken breast, fresh tomatoes, and fat-free Wisconsin cheddar, all drenched in a spicy homeade Tennesee Bleu Sauce.  Cal. 269 / Carb 21/ Fat 5/ Fib. 11 /Prot. 35. He also got a side of sweet potato fries.
brynanddanes popcornbrynanddaneslunchThis place has a drive through, and a fake tree on the inside! If you get a coffie, you can add lots of good things to it! And, if you are a vegetarian, you can swap out chicken for 3 other choices (Black Bean Burger, Organic Vegan Burger, Portabello Mushroom)!
Hey Kids! This is where you should be eating for fast food. They have lots of kid-friendly options.
Hey Parents! The portion size is big, but good. I hope you enjoy this place!
2 thumbs up out of 2! Healthy fast food! Finally! When other places don’t give you healthy options, go here. visit their Facebook Page at: https://www.facebook.com/BRYNandDANES .

The Melting Pot - 751 Easton Road Warrington, PA 18976

Talk about a Kid Friendly Restaurant!

The Melting Pot is a Fondue Restaurant. Fondue is a dish in which small pieces of food are dipped into a hot sauce or a hot cooking medium such as oil or broth:  “a Swiss cheese fondue”.

My dad had done this all for a father daughter fun night! So we got our picture taken to start out! That was a surprise he planned for me!

I got to interact by dipping my own food in the pot! I got the Traditional Swiss Cheese Fonduemelting pot cheeseI loved dipping the bread, vegetables, and apples in the hot melted cheese! It makes my mouth water thinking about it! For a drink I had water, refreshing! For my next course I had the Classic, and my dad had the French Quarter. (This course was raw meats cooked in broth) Mmmm… teriyaki chicken. melting pot main courseWhen the chocolate dessert course came, we had the Yin-Yang one. We were both surprised then, because they came out with a plate that had a candle atop of 6 mini-sliced red velvet cake peices, and drizzled in chocolate was ” Daddy daughter special night!” The Yin Yang symbol looks perfect, until one of your kids dunks a sweet treat in there! melting pot dessertmelting pot yin yang

This place is really big, and my dad and I got seated in a private area where you can control the lights!

Hey Parents! Make sure your kid/kids don’t poke themselves with the utensils. And don’t be surprised if the bill is expensive! They also have Gluten-Free items on the menu, in case you or your kids suffer from this food allergy.

Hey Kids! There is a kids menu, But I ordered off the grownup menu as usual. The waitesses are very nice and funny! Definitely has Kid Friendly Service!

Two thumbs up out of two! I love how nice the people are, and how good the food is! This will always be a favorite!

The Original Turkey - Philadelphia Auto Show 2013 Edition

original turkeyI went to the Philadelphia Auto Show yesterday with my parents to see a bunch of cool cars. We decided to stop at Reading Terminal Market for a bite to eat at The Original Turkey. I had the one side platter, which was delicious turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy. I also can’t forget the sweet, tart, cranberry sauce!!! For a drink I had lemonade… sweet sweet lemonade.

(My meal looked like this minus the corn)

It was not a sit down restaurant, I don’t know if they have a kid’s menu, and there isn’t much to see at this restaurant. You have to walk around to find a place to sit. Reading Terminal Market is a super busy place!

Kids: Be Patient. We had to do like 4 laps around the seating area to find a place to sit to eat our lunch. Not fun!

Parents: Be prepared for cranky kids if you can’t find a place to sit fast.

If you want to see what they have before you go, check out their website @: www.theoriginalturkey.com

Although not really a Kid Friendly place when busy, I did see a lot of kids there.

Enjoy!

PF Changs - 721 Easton Road Warrington, PA 18976

Check out my latest Kid Friendly Restaurant visit.

Wow! I just went to PF Changs for Lunch! I had Won Ton soup. This was no ordinary Won Ton soup, it had lots of things I love. Such as, water chestnuts, chicken, dumplings, shrimp, and more scrumptious things!

pf changs

For a main course I had shrimp lo mein. It was a bit messy, but hey, it was worth it! I savored the sauce, shrimp, and noodles! To wash down my wondrous meal, I had sweet lemonade.

This place has chinese themed decorations, which make it nice and cultural.

Hey Parents! PF Changs is a nice place for you and kid or kids!

Hey Kids! I did not order from the kids menu. Try new things! The waitresses are really nice. enjoy!

This place gets 2 thumbs up. I have enjoyed it for a while. I love their food, just haven’t shared it through my blog until now. I feel they also provided Kid Friendly Service. If you order from the kid’s menu, they give you wiki sticks to play with while you wait for your meal.

Cho Cho San Sushi Bar - 981 North Wales Rd. North Wales PA 19454

My recent Kid Friendly Restaurant Review in North Wales, PA.

Get heading to Cho Cho San! I think you will like this place! Of course I had sushi. I had about 10 California rolls! Yum! They were the Bomb!

cho cho san

They give you a lot, but who doesn’t like sushi leftovers? Along with that I had shrimp tempura! Crunchy and scrumptious! For a side with my sushi I had house salad and miso soup! Yum, savory appetizers. For a drink I had orange juice. mmmmm!

Cho Cho San is a Japanese-themed restaurant. It is nice and quiet and has a fish tank near the back of the restaurant. When you sit down they give you nice steamy towels to dab your hands with.

Hey Parents! Cho Cho San is the place to go for guys/girls night out! The waitress was not entirely kid friendly. But still nice.

Hey kids! There is NO kid’s menu. I encourage you to try sushi early in your life so you will like more than chicken nuggets.

Rating: 1 thumb up out of 2.

The reason for my rating is that this is more of a grownup place AND no kid’s menu. I enjoyed it, but some of my fans may not.

Smoke Rack Barbeque and Grille - 410 Walnut Street Landsdale, PA 19446

Another Kid Friendly Restaurant Review in Lansdale, PA

Get your barbeque on and get to Smoke Rack bbq! Yummm!!! I had the sandwich special! Which happened to have pulled pork, and mac and cheese, all on a roll. The pulled pork was so tasty once I drizzled bbq sauce on top! Then the mac and cheese was soooo good! I know cheese and pork don’t sound like they go together, but they do! For a side I had their homemade corn bread. You HAVE to try it! With the thought of it being homemade, and the sweet taste, it is sure to please. To wash it all down, I had a popular drink for myself, lemonade!

This place has a pig statue when you walk in. It is small inside, so be sure to get there early to get a good seat. There’s a tv and a counter. The waitress was really nice and welcoming! And the OWNER greeted us and also said goodbye to us. Definetly kid friendly with great service!!

Hey Parents! The adult menu is huge! And this place is safe for kids too. My parents said that is was the best BBQ that they have had in a very long time. They got the Sampler.

Hey kids! The kid’s menu only has 2 things on it. Only chicken tenders, or grilled cheese with fries. I did not order from that menu. Be open-minded! Try new things!

You definitely want to check this place out. I know that I will be back there again!

Check out their website too: www.smokerackbbq.com

Thanks!

Brooke
